The City of Prince Rupert announced that a boil water notice has been put back into effect.
This means that everyone who uses the water system in Prince Rupert needs to rapidly boil their water for at least a minute before cooling it off and then placing it in a food storage container.
This is only needed before anyone consumes water or uses it in a manner to brush their teeth or wash food like vegetables.
The notice is set to be in effect for the foreseeable future and was reestablished because of the ongoing construction within the City.
