A recent announcement that was made by the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Jonathan Wilkinson, revealed that the future Cedar LNG facility that is set to be built in Kitimat is going to be getting quite the financial boost.
The Federal Government, through the Strategic Innovation Fund, will be putting forth a total of $200 Million towards the project that is expected to cost almost $6 Billion in whole.
Cedar LNG, unsurprisingly, has been very receptive to this support and believe these gifted funds from the Government are key to helping build what has been touted to eventually become one of the lowest emitting LNG facilities in the entire world.
The facility is expected to be up and entirely operational by sometime towards the end of 2028.
