The City of Prince Rupert has given word on how their trip to the yearly Union of BC Municipalities Conference went.
Among the topics that were discussed at the event, City staff and Council advocated for more investment in the City’s ongoing critical infrastructure work.
Past conversations at the Conference helped the City land $65 Million to use on their failing underground water infrastructure.
And after bringing up topics like how environmental compliance regulations need to be modernized for certain communities with unique needs and that they’re seeking provincial support for cruise tourism infrastructure, the City said they had productive conversations at the conference and look forward to continuing them in the future.
