The City of Prince Rupert recently reported on the Mayor and City Staff’s trip to the Southeast Alaska Conference.
The conference took place in Ketchikan, Alaska and Mayor Herb Pond spent his time there lobbying for the Alaska Ferry to Prince Rupert to return to a panel of local delegates.
That particular Ferry has been out of commission since 2019.
Pond said in the City’s statement that Alaska’s political representatives are strongly supporting their plan to re-establish the Ferry.
