The City of Terrace has announced that some changes are being made to Kalum Street in order to improve both safety and traffic flow for everyone who travels along it.
The most notable change is that the traffic route between Greig Avenue and Davis Avenue will be going from two lanes to one lane while also having a lane in the centre for turning left.
Some other changes will be made to the configuration of bike and parking lanes as well and all of this work is being done because of recommendations that were made by an ICBC Road Audit.
And while this work is taking place, the City has asked drivers to use the single straight lane when turning as that is not what the bike and parking lanes are for.
