Coast Mountains School District 82 recently sent out a statement stating that Kitwanga Elementary School is closed for today.
The closure did not have to do with the weather or the road conditions, but instead because of a power outage.
And since BC Hydro said that they likely wouldn’t be able to get it fixed until 4 PM, the District went through with the decision to cancel classes for today.
