In partnership with the BV Community Foundation, the Town of Smithers is going to be hosting a free composting workshop at the end of May.
The workshop will be hosted on the Coast Mountain College campus in Smithers on May 30th from 10 AM until 1 PM and it will show people how to start a backyard compost as well as some alternatives and correct composting techniques.
This workshop was created due to the Town of Smithers Community Energy and Emissions Plan, which aims to create a low-carbon future for the Town and this looks to be one of the ways they can get on track to achieve that goal.
