The District of Kitimat instituted a Boil Water Notice back in the early days of February due to elevated turbidity levels and now they’ve released an update about the notice.
The District let it be known that they’ve downgraded the notice to a Water Quality Advisory.
While the advisory is still in effect, it’s recommended that children, people with weaker immune systems, pregnant women and the elderly continue drinking boiled water.
The advisory will be lifted whenever a Drinking Water Officer determines that it’s safe to do so.
