Towards the end of last week, the District of Kitimat put their water system under a precautionary water quality advisory.
The community’s water treatment system was recently upgraded and as it begins pumping water into the public system, the quality of the water will need to be tested in a lab.
The District does not anticipate there being any problems but the advisory will stay in place until it is said otherwise by Kitimat officials.
