A few months after he transferred to Nanaimo, Inspector Terry Gillespie is on the move once again, this time to the West Shore RCMP detachment.
Gillespie has been named as the new Officer in Charge of the West Shore RCMP after the previous Superintendent, Todd Preston, retired.
Gillespie has been with the RCMP since 2006 and previously served as the Officer in Charge of the Terrace RCMP, the Detachment Commander in Haida Gwaii and Smithers and as the District Advisory NCO for the Kitimat-Stikine region, prior to his more recent role as the Operations Support Officer in Nanaimo.
He is set to officially join the detachment once the calendar flips over to 2026.
