Shochoy Fray, Youth Leadership Program Director, says to expect a 12-foot inflatable ball, an art banner paint project, many games, races, activities, food, music, and even some prizes. He says it’s all about celebrating and supporting the community’s youth.

“It’s like saying the youth are the future, but actually put that into meaning. So give them the opportunities to be leaders, give them opportunities to show what they can do, and that’s what I try to instill with them in the program I run and also in anything that they do.So a lot of our youth that are going to be a part are in our- we call them LITs - leaders in training. And that program is just to develop their leadership skills, get them life skills, and just try to get them engaged as much as possible. So I instill in them, I say, what do you want to do? And how can I how can I support you in getting that done? And International Youth Day is one of them.”

The United Nations says it will commemorate International Youth Day 2026 on 12 August through an online campaign inviting young people worldwide to share messages of hope, support, and collaboration. Youth can join the conversation by participating in activities, sharing youth-led initiatives, engaging with the digital solidarity campaign, and using platforms to amplify young voices and promote inclusive, sustainable development.
