Impaired traffic stop highlighted in new Kitimat RCMP report

The Kitimat RCMP have put out yet another weekly report, with it this time covering the final couple days of October and the first few days of November.

One area of the report mentioned that a patrolling officer saw a vehicle parked in the middle of the roadway at the Pintail Street and Ptarmigan Street intersection.

The driver looked like they were on their phone at the time and when the officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the vehicle began driving away.

The officer was eventually able to stop the vehicle and after taking the driver to the local Police detachment, they were eventually released with a future court date to answer to the charge of operating a motor vehicle while impaired.
