The Lax Kw’alaams band has informed the community of an ongoing investigation that has begun at the Crosby girls home site.
The Crosby Girls Home was part of a Port Simpson boys and girls residential school that operated from the late 1800s to 1948.
The band says they appreciate patience as they gather information and work to learn more about this important part of shared history.
They also recognize that this may bring up difficult feelings and memories and encouraged those affected to reach out for available support.
