The Dease Lake and Atlin RCMP, as well as the BC Conservation Officers recently finished up a successful joint operation.
The operation saw a trio of constables fly a plane to many of the isolated lakes in the Skeena region between September 26th and October 1st to make sure local hunters were following the rules.
While 23 violation tickets and 20 warnings were given out, the report said that most of the hunters that were encountered followed the rules.
The RCMP also thanked everyone who engaged respectfully with the officers and said they’d see them again next year.
