A couple based in Kitimat scored the win of a lifetime when they learned that they won a $500,000 prize from the Lotto Max Extra Prize Draw.
Caryn Gordon and Mogens Reese-Hansen have said that they plan on celebrating their prize by taking a few trips, namely to see family on Vancouver Island and then going on vacation to Thailand.
The couple made the winning purchase at the Kildala Grocery store in Kitimat and ended up discovering the good news at a self scanner before they confirmed their win with a retailer at the store.
