Yesterday saw Kitimat host an All Candidates Forum featuring the Candidates for Skeena MLA in the Provincial Election, Claire Ratée of the Conservatives, Larry Taylor of OneBC, Nick Gottlieb of the Greens and Sarah Zimmerman of the NDP.
In Ratée’s opening speech, she mentioned concerns about cost cutting by the NDP, the rising cost of living and believing that David Eby calling an early election was an opportunistic move, Taylor spoke about being told about people’s struggles with taxes, the worries about repeat offenders and the many people struggling with addiction, Gottlieb brought attention to ER closures, the Healthcare system’s problems and overcrowding in schools and Zimmerman mentioned her work on major projects that benefit everyone, like the Ksyen Regional Hospital and the Northwest Regional Benefits Alliance.
The Forum was broadcast on BoxCast and featured topics like resource development, environmental protection and balancing the budget get discussed.
