To go alongside announcements that were made by fellow Northwestern communities in Smithers and Prince Rupert, the District of Kitimat is opening up their own Business Facade Improvement Program.
The program operates on a first come, first serve basis and will hand out grants of up to $5,000 so that local businesses can work on making improvements or upgrades to their retail storefronts.
And just like their Northwestern area compatriots, the funds for the program were given to the District by the Northern Development Initiative Trust.
But the application deadline for them is November 1st and other differing details can be found on the District’s website.
