Yet another weekly report from the Kitimat RCMP has been released to the public with it this time detailing what they encountered during the final week of April.
One part of the report talked about the Police getting word of a local resident losing a bit of money after getting fooled by a fraudulent Facebook marketplace ad.
The resident had learned about the ad from what they believed to be a friend of theirs and after the resident sent out a sum of money, a request was made from them to send more money.
Concern then began to arise in the resident that the ad was a scam and they ended up discovering that their friend was hacked and they were not the one that sent them the ad.
