This coming Saturday will see Kitimat Understanding the Environment host the annual Kitimat River Clean Up event.
It’s an event where people can drop in and offer their volunteer services, but teams of up to 10 people can register beforehand to take part.
The event will begin at 10 AM at the Riverlodge Recreation Centre and the main goal of the event is to pick up as much garbage as possible from the shoreline before it gets swept up by the river.
Every team also needs at least one adult on it, along with an emergency contact.
