The Nisga’a Village of Laxgalts’ap celebrated the opening of a brand new concrete batch plant yesterday, making it one of the few plants operating in Northern BC.
The plant is being called Hagwil’ook’ Contracting and it came together as a result of a partnership between Hirsch Creek Concrete Ltd, which is based out of Kitimat, and Boney Creek Development, which has been called the economic arm of Laxgalts’ap.
This plant was manufactured in Alberta and is said to be capable of supplying up to 16 mixer trucks per hour.
