The District of Kitimat recently opened their nominations for the 2026 edition of Distinguished Citizen and Youth Community Service Awards.
Those awards are aiming to honour people who were under 18 at the time of their nomination, who volunteer their help to multiple organizations on a continual basis for over a year as well as individuals or groups that have distinguished themselves in the community.
The award winners will be announced during Kitimat’s July 1st celebrations and nominations will be accepted until April 30th.
