Over $5 Million from the Northern Healthy Communities Fund is headed the way of Northern BC in order to bolster various projects across the region.
One beneficiary of these funds will be the City of Terrace, as their portion of the money will be used to add 26 new child care spaces and increase age group offerings.
Other projects getting a financial boost include a stand-alone Emergency Operations Centre in Dawson Creek, the creation of a two-bay fire hall for the Saik’uz First Nation and the Kitimat Youth Centre is being upgraded as well.
