Northern Health and the First Nations Health Authority recently teamed up to issue a Drug Advisory that covers the entire Northern Health Region.
This advisory was prompted by newer drug samples of white Hydromorphine pills, which have been sold as Dilaudid, testing positive for a new synthetic opioid called Cychlorphine.
It’s said to potentially be ten times stronger than Fentanyl and may result in additional doses of naloxone being needed.
It can’t be detected by test strips and more information about it can be found on Northern Health’s website.
