The Trail-Rossland 2026 BC Winter Games recently concluded over the weekend and it saw the Northwestern athletes bring home a total of 9 medals.
Kavita Dhillon of Vanderhoof brought home the Northwest’s only Gold medal in cross country skiing while Prince Rupert’s Maleah Anderson and Eli Palmer brought home Silver in artistic gymnastics.
Palmer also won a gymnastics Bronze medal, as did Terrace’s Tyler Metzger in Curling, Cole Ostapowich from Smithers in Judo, the Coed mixed Ringette team and both the male and female Karate teams.
The Vancouver Coastal athletes ended up being the most dominant, as they won a staggering 117 medals, with Fraser River’s 111 medals being the only other total that was anywhere close.
