A pair of youth provincial hockey tournaments in Northwestern BC continued yesterday and the teams representing various Northwestern communities at those tourneys had varying degree of success.
At the U15 Tier 3 Provincial Championships in Terrace, Smithers took an 8 to nothing loss against Mission and Terrace let a late lead slip in the last seconds of the game versus New Westminster before falling in a shootout 5 to 4.
But at the Kitimat U13 Tier 4 BC Provincial Championships, the host team from Kitimat fared much better as they ran over Dawson Creek by a score of 13 to nothing.
