The Prince Rupert Port Authority have publicly posted their traffic report that covers the month of August 2025.
The amount of foreign cargo that passed through the port totalled in at a bit over 2 million tonnes, a number that was 18 percent higher than what August was able to bring in during 2024.
And as for how some specific terminals fared in foreign cargo numbers between last year and this year, both Fairview and Trigon Pacific saw substantial 40 percent increases from August 2024, while Prince Rupert Grain and Harbour dropped by over 50 percent.
Domestic passenger numbers did go up from last year too, but only by 176 people.
