The Prince Rupert RCMP recently released an update on the death of an elderly man that took place last year.

Back on September 21st 2025, the Prince Rupert Police were called out to the side of a roadway in Klemtu, where an elderly man was suffering from injuries that were believed to be potentially caused by an assault.

The BC RCMP Major Crime Section was called into help with the investigation due to the unclear nature of what happened to the man,

Despite the man passing away, it was determined that a criminal act was not what caused his injuries and death.
