In order to address some building and common area safety concerns, the Walmart location in Prince Rupert has closed it’s doors, although it is said to be only temporary.
The store has not provided any kind of timeline on when they might re-open, and the next closest Walmart location is the one in Terrace.
This closure comes only a few months after the sidewalk on the north side of the Rupert Square Mall, which is where the Walmart is located, collapsed and led to the entire building being closed down for a brief time.
