PRPA and partners celebrating sustainability milestone

The Prince Rupert Port Authority has released a statement saying that they and 13 of their Prince Rupert Gateway partners are celebrating a sustainability milestone.

The statement mentioned how 2025 saw the partners reduce greenhouse gas emissions produced by the port’s operations due to them replacing two million litres of normal diesel with Petro-Canada EcoDiesel.

That EcoDiesel is said to produce around 67 percent less greenhouse gas and it was used in various pieces of equipment like locomotives as well as pilot and patrol vehicles.

Some of the organizations that helped contribute to the milestone included Altagas, Trigon Pacific Terminals, Pembina, Prince Rupert Grain and Pacific Pilotage Authority.
