The Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine has put out a notice to remind residents of the upcoming local general election that will take place on October 17th.
This election will allow for the District’s residents to elect their own Electoral Area Director for all 6 electoral areas for a term of four years on the Regional Board.
The electoral areas are Area A, which covers the Nass Valley and Meziadin, Area B, featuring the Hazeltons rural areas and Kispiox Valley, Area C, who has the Greater Terrace Area, Area D, which includes Telegraph Creek and Iskut, Area E, featuring Thornhill and Area F, which has Dease Lake.
Nominations are also available to be made until September 11th, with more information on the Regional District’s website.
