Once Halloween passes us at the end of next week, the Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine has a creative way to dispose of the leftover pumpkins.
On November 7th at Ferry Island from 12 to 3 PM, the RDKS is holding their 2nd annual Pumpkin Smash.
Residents can help safely smash all the remaining pumpkins that were used in the Terrace Community Garden’s Jack O’ Lantern Festival, so that they’re ready to head to the compost pile.
People are free to bring their own pumpkins as well.
