Some Canadian Armed Forces Search and Rescue Crews that launched from 19 Wing Comox on Vancouver Island recently flew close to Haida Gwaii in order to assist with a medical emergency that occurred at the start of last week.
A fishing vessel saw one of it’s crew members need unspecified urgent medical care while the ship was located 92 km south of the archipelago.
The person was able to be successfully hoisted off of the ship and then got taken to waiting medical workers on the shore.
