The Thornhill Community Water System, which is used by citizens in Upper Thornhill, is set to be placed under a water quality advisory by the Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine for about a week soon.
The advisory will come into effect on March 13th and last until March 20th.
The main reason for the advisory is because the water system will undergo scheduled cleaning and maintenance, which could result in higher turbidity levels.
During that time, people with weaker immune systems, elderly people and pregnant women are being advised to boil their water before consuming it.
More information about the advisory can be found on the Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine’s website.
