Another one of the events that was put on as a part of Riverboat Days over the long weekend included the Skeena Valley Cruizers Show and Shine.
The event was held at the Skeena Mall parking lot and gave people the chance to take a look at some of the sweetest rides that Northwestern BC has to offer, or even show off and discuss their own vehicle if they so desired.
As was the case with one man that we talked to, where he explained what type of he vehicle has, how he came to own it, where he likes to drive it the most and where he would like to drive it someday;
“This car’s a 1947 Chevy Style Master Sedan. It belong to myself and my father and I built it about 15 years ago, it’s been on the road for 14. We bought the car in it’s original form from Prince Rupert and it was pretty rotten underneath, the original engine and driveline needed to be replaced. So I removed the body off the frame and basically rebuilt the whole frame, driveline and suspension. We really like to go to Prince Rupert, the drive’s beautiful and we go for some fish and chips. The lava beds are a nice drive as well. I’d like to take it down to the Okanagan, there’s lots of classic cars and car shows down there.”
No matter what type, model or era of vehicle you prefer, this show certainly seemed to have just about everything it could need to appeal to every kind of vehicle lover.
