The Town of Smithers and Village of Telkwa have teamed up to put on a pair of Pre-Election workshops at the end of this month.
These workshops are being put on with the intention of helping any prospective candidates or interested residents better understand how local government leadership works and make sure they’re prepared for the upcoming municipal elections.
The workshops will cover government basics, give out practical information and let people ask questions about how local decisions are made.
Smithers will host their workshop on August 24th from 5:30 to 8:30 PM at their local council chambers and the Telkwa edition will happen at their Community Hall from 5:30 to 8:30 as well, but on August 25th instead.
