With the help of BC Housing and the Bulkley Valley Harm Reduction Society, the Town of Smithers will be holding a public meeting next Monday at 6 PM on 4035 Walnut Drive.
The main purpose of the meeting is to allow local residents to ask questions about the temporary winter shelter that is located at what was once the Fabrications building.
In their announcement of the meeting, the town acknowledged that they had hearing the strong feelings from residents in regards to the shelter.
They also said that anyone who wants to share feedback at the meeting can give a letter to addressed to the Mayor and Council by hand at 1027 Aldous Street or by emailing general@smithers.ca
