The Smithers RCMP published a report that detailed the discovery of a sudden death on a trail located near Ranger Park.
The person who was found deceased has been identified and their next of kin was notified, although the person’s identity isn’t being released publicly in order to respect the family’s privacy.
While the Police said that there isn’t any increased risk to public safety due to this death, additional RCMP officers went to Smithers to assist the still ongoing investigation.
No more information about this case will be released by the authorities.
