The Smithers RCMP recently provided an update on the result of them entering the temporary over night shelter area earlier this week.
On September 9th, the Smithers Police executed a search warrant for that area in order to apprehend a man named David Wesley as part of an investigation of an alleged assault and threats.
The search also saw the Police seize several items such as several knives, a camouflage crossbow, a metal bat and two boxes of .22 calibre ammunition.
Since then, the Public Prosecution Service of Canada has approved five different charges against Wesley, including uttering threats and assault with a weapon.
