Towards the end of last week, the Smithers RCMP responded to a collision on Highway 16 close by Blue Jay Road.
The collision reportedly saw a semi truck stop on the side of a road as it’s driver saw an obstruction on the highway when a pickup truck tried passing the semi and ended up hitting the obstruction.
The Police also reported that the obstruction was two people trying to push a snowmobile across the highway after it got stuck trying to cross the road.
Both the pickup truck driver and snowmobile operator got issued violation tickets and later got taken to the hospital for assessment.
