At the start of this week, the Smithers RCMP were called to respond to a motor vehicle collision that took place at the intersection of Highway 16 and Olson Road in Telkwa.
A commercial transport truck and small white car were involved in the collision and it happened when the transport truck hit the rear of the car, causing both vehicles to land in a ditch.
The car’s driver was injured but ended up getting safely extracted by the local Fire Department and BC Emergency Health Services and was taken to the hospital, where they have since been released.
The truck driver has since been charged for driving without due care and attention.
