Towards the end of last week, the Rotary Club of Smithers made a major donation to a local victim services led healing program.
The club presented $14,500 to Auntie’s Kitchen, which is led by the Smithers RCMP’s Police Based Victim Services worker, Shannon William.
William accepted the donation on behalf of the program and the donation was made with the purpose of recognizing the major role that victim services plays in supporting healing and prevention, along with policing.
