Terrace RCMP happy with C-STEP Program results

The Terrace RCMP released a statement saying the C-STEP initiative that was launched back in June of this year has been successful on every front.

The program has been in effect for around 4 months and the Terrace Police have made about 231 additional arrests with 43 people being charged, 48 charges being laid and 47 violation tickets being issued.

Some of the items that have been seized by the Police through this program include swords, throwing knives, cocaine, bear spray, methamphetamine, a homemade shield and contraband tobacco.

15 repeat offenders have also been referred to local social services like Northern Health and the Intensive Case Management Team.

The Terrace RCMP then re-affirmed how pleased they were with the program and said that it’s really benefited the community.
