The Terrace RCMP have posted a warning related to a recent incident that they were informed about.
The Police got word that a local business realized that a man had made a purchase with counterfeit money and later that same day, another business caught a man trying to pay with fake bills, but they didn’t accept it.
RCMP ended seizing the counterfeit money from one of the businesses and eventually arrested the suspected man for possessing counterfeit money.
While the man was released with a future court date, the Terrace RCMP are still investigating this case and have warned businesses to watch out for anyone looking to pull off a similar scheme.
