Terrace RCMP posts early results of C-STEP initiative

The Terrace RCMP have released the results that they have gathered after implementing their Community Safety and Targeted Enforcement Program for about a month now.

The program’s funding has led to officers taking on more overtime shifts and in that month of time, the Terrace RCMP have made 64 additional arrests and by proxy, they’ve also reportedly helped prevent other potential offences from happening since most of the arrests have been repeat offenders.

Some of those arrests have also led to the Police seizing weapons like Bear Spray, Brass Knuckles, Throwing Axes/Knives and even Long Swords and Katanas while they’ve also seized drugs such as Fentanyl, Cocaine and Methamphetamine.

The program is set to last until mid-October of this year.
