The Terrace RCMP recently released more results that detailed how C-STEP funding had been benefiting them since their last update on the matter.
2 months into the funding program’s implementation, the Terrace RCMP have made 76 additional arrests outside of their normal shift hours while also laying 17 additional charges.
Items that have been seized from offending individuals in those arrests include weapons such as bear spray, daggers, throwing knives, a homemade Shield and drugs like contraband tobacco, fentanyl, cocaine and illicit pharmaceuticals.
The second month also saw three repeat offenders get referred to services like Northern Health and the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction in order to make that they got the help they needed.
