Northern Health and the First Nations Health Authority have released a joint statement that says a toxic drug alert is being issued for the entirety of the Northern Region.
The alert has been put into place because a purple paste that’s been sold as down has been linked to multiple overdose events and it’s tested positive for benzos, fentanyl and medetomidine.
The alert is set to expire on October 7th and tips on safe use are available on Northern Health’s website.
