The City of Prince Rupert and Kxeen Community Services Indigenous Relations Committee have teamed up to put on a pair of events because of an upcoming holiday.
In honour of Truth and Reconciliation Day, the City and Committee have set up a free public swim at the local pool in addition to a book draw by local Indigenous authors.
The swim will be held this Sunday from 2 to 4 PM and people can enter the draw at either the pool or the Prince Rupert Public Library for the chance to win 1 of 10 books, with one half of them being for kids and the other half being for adults.
The draw will take place on October 2nd.
