Volunteer Terrace holding youth Christmas Party

On next Tuesday, December 23rd, Volunteer Terrace’s Youth Leadership program will be hosting a Christmas party geared towards younger people at the TAPS or Therapeutic Activation Program for Seniors location in Thornhill.

Volunteer Terrace’s Grace Davidson provided some more context to what will be happening at the party;

“We’ll be doing gingerbread decorating, Christmas sweater competitions and just having a fun time. There’s going to be food, a dance and a hang out with two different age groups. 4 to 15 and 16 to 24.”

But fun activities won’t be the only things that can be enjoyed at the party as Davidson also mentioned that someone will be lucky enough to go home with a new game console;

“We are doing a PS5 giveaway and we’re lucky that our nonprofit organization and youth programs are federally funded. Which allows us to provide things like this to this extent. We’re grateful for it.”

Signing up to attend the party can be done on Volunteer Terrace’s website, as well as on their Facebook and Instagram pages.

This is the first time that the organization is holding this party and the idea for it seemed to come from the members of Volunteer Terrace’s relatively new youth program and the organization was more than happy to provide it.
