Starting today and lasting until next Tuesday, anyone boating near Prince Rupert is being asked to slow down and minimize if they happen to be travelling near west side of Ridley Island.
AltaGas will be conducting some construction work in the water over that 5 day period, where they will use vessel-mounted cranes to install mooring buoys for the Ridley Island Energy Export Facility.
The Prince Rupert Port Authority, who posted the warning, thanked everyone for helping to keep their community safe.
