The Western Canada Marine Response Corporation recently announced that they would take part in an emergency preparedness training exercise today.

This excercise took place in Prince Rupert and would also see the Canadian Coast Guard, the Prince Rupert Port Authority, and Environment and Climate Change Canada take part in it as well.

Teams from each party would be working together to ensure that both themselves and their equipment were as prepared as possible to respond to an incident.

Throughout the practice, spill response vessels would be visible in the harbour, and local residents who might be worried by the site don’t need to be concerned.
